Dear church family,

The Psalmist (46:1,2a) declares “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.  Therefore will we not fear…”.  The remainder of the Psalm is very instructive and encouraging for all those who share the Psalmist’s faith.  I encourage you to read it and talk about it together as families during these days.

In relation to the Covid-19 outbreak, in respect to the emergency order of Premier Doug Ford, we will be focusing our attention on our live-streaming capabilities.  I would encourage families to remain at home. All the services are live-streamed on our church Facebook page, website, Vimeo, and can be viewed on YouTube as well.  For those who do not have or cannot readily access the live streaming of the services the church doors will be open during service times as we will have a few people attending who are running the live-stream.  You may also contact the church office, Pastor Trickey, or myself and we will help you to connect.

There will not be much in the way of congregational singing so perhaps your families could sing a hymn or two before or after the live-stream in worship and praise to our God.  We will continue to read the missionary letters to you so you can be informed of God’s working in and through them. Please send any prayer requests to the church office or to pastor@ntbch.ca and we will share them with the church family.

Finally, I would remind everyone that it is very helpful to church ministries when we remain faithful in the giving of weekly offerings. We still need to operate within our church budget and maintain the faithful monthly support of our wonderful missionary families.  You may drop off your offering envelopes at the church during the week or use either of the two methods of electronic giving as suggested on the church website.  Please use your church directory to contact and stay in touch with others of your church family during this time.  Don’t hesitate to let us know of any specific needs that we might be able to help you with.  Let’s seek to be a blessing and encouragement to one another and let’s be alert to one another’s needs.
